Basically if you're going to New Zealand you're allowed 1 stop in each direction in Asia
Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai, or Tokyo.

You're also allowed 1 stop in each direction at Perth, Cairns, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide (When the stopover is taken at Perth, Darwin or Cairns a surface sector is required between Perth, Darwin and Cairns and Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide.)
Availability is tight via Bangkok, Sinagapore and Hong Kong if you're going downunder this year, or coming back in January but there are buy-up classes available for an extra £50, £100 or £200+ - your consultant can give you real-time availabilty and the best deals online.
